The importance of clean rooms for electronics manufacturers comes from the fact that controlling contamination is critical to an electronics manufacturer’s success because a tiny speck of dust can be as damaging as a boulder.
Even the smallest of particles can contaminate products and cost electronics manufacturers millions of dollars, lead to the loss of ISO certification, and generate bad publicity that lasts for a long time.
Detecting a faulty product is easy in the QC stage, but unfortunately it is almost always a waste because at this point the problem is beyond repair, so it is only logical to prevent such instances or at least minimize the chances for them to happen.
Because of the sensitivity of the products and the fact that the manufacturing process itself is a source of contamination, electronics manufacturers need their clean rooms to have special features like:
Air filters
The environment in which the parts are assembled can generate fine particles that prevent parts from being installed correctly, leading to empty spaces that accumulate humidity which means corrosion, or a faulty final product if the particle is conductive.
Lighting
The clean room must be well lit in order for the staff to clearly see the tiny details that they are dealing with.
Windows
Usually they are integrated into the panel thus they have no ledge, which makes them airtight, safer and easier to clean.
Anti-static environment
Static electricity can be as deadly as a dust particle, so it is only essential for the clean rooms to be static free.
No matter what your needs are, our passion is to satisfy them and make sure that the clean rooms will live up to our high standards, because our customers are not just customers, they are family.
